Briony is an experienced energy policy and regulatory advisor with a focus on electricity markets, distributed flexibility and community energy.

She spent the past four years overseeing a portfolio of energy innovation projects at Ara Ake, New Zealand’s national energy innovation centre, before it was shut down by government. This included the Kāinga Ora Multiple Trading Trial in Wellington, the Franklin Energy Sharing Pilot in South Auckland and the $1m National Flex Discovery Fund.

Prior to this, Briony worked in both business and government across New Zealand, the U.K. and France.
